The role
This exciting role offers a fantastic start for a future in mortgage advising. You'll be right at the heart of our client interactions, handling both inbound and outbound calls in our busy Helpline.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting our Account Managers with their daily tasks and client communications.
- Directly engaging with clients, gathering essential information, and conducting initial financial assessments.
- Providing clear overviews of available mortgage products.
- Collaborating with national housebuilders, you'll proactively report on progress and keep the builders informed every step of the way.
- Offering expert advice on a wide range of mortgage-related queries.
Who we’re looking for
To thrive in this role, you'll need to be keen to learn and have a strong work ethic. While a background in finance isn't necessary, as full training and support will be provided, you'll ideally have:
- Outstanding customer service skills – you love helping people!
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Previous sales experience is a plus, but definitely not essential.

Your career journey with Newhomes
This role is a stepping stone to becoming a fully qualified Mortgage Advisor. You'll gain invaluable hands-on experience before starting your CeMAP qualification. Once qualified, you'll have access to multiple advisory roles within the business, supporting your continued growth and development.
Working hours
Our office is open seven days a week, and your working pattern will include:
- Two weekends out of every four
- Two days off during the week.
Working hours are:
- Monday–Thursday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Friday: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Weekends: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Package & benefits
We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £24,000 to £30,000, based on experience, plus attractive commission and bonus opportunities.
