SBG confirms Julie Sadler appointment as Chief Risk Officer

Julie joined SBG in May 2012 as Head of Operations and was promoted to Operations Director in November 2012. She has over 20 years industry experience with extensive knowledge of compliance and risk management across the financial services industry. This includes senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group and The Consulting Consortium.

George Higginson, SBG Chief Executive Officer, said:

Julie has a key role in implementing our improved systems and controls framework. Alongside our multi-million pound investment in technology, this in turn will ensure that our advisers are delivering the right customer outcomes that can be clearly evidenced. Julie’s wealth of knowledge and experience of the risk and governance disciplines, gained over many years, will help us to ensure that our group’s future developments keep pace with the ever changing regulatory environment.

Julie Sadler added:

I am very pleased to be part of SBG’s experienced leadership team and I am looking forward to building on the work that is already well underway to embed strong governance and robust risk management frameworks throughout the business. We are committed to ensuring that advisers can clearly evidence how their services are delivering the right customer outcomes.

Julie takes over the role vacated by Interim Chief Risk Officer, Shaun O’Leary, who has now left the business following the completion of his contract.
