PMS and Sesame create role to boost new build adviser support

Stacey has over 15 years’ industry experience, most recently as Business Development Manager for the Midlands region at Coventry Building Society. Stacey has also spent five years working as a financial adviser.

In her new role, Stacey will work with mainstream and specialist lenders on future innovations in the new build and first-time buyer sector, in order to increase the support available to PMS and Sesame members and their customers. Stacey will also work with builders, housing associations and local government to improve processes and make it easier for advisers to do business in the new build, help-to-buy and shared ownership sectors.

Commenting, Jane Benjamin, Director of Mortgages for Sesame and PMS, said: “Our Group is already very active in this sector, but we want to invest and grow this further. The creation of this new role reflects the importance of new build for advisers and the growth opportunities ahead. At PMS and Sesame we strongly believe that having a full suite of dedicated support across all mortgage market segments is vital. Our Group has enhanced its support in the later life lending market, and we’re now complementing this at the other end of the spectrum. We’re opening up more opportunities for members to support first-time buyers and assist with intergenerational lending, so that all age groups and customers are looked after. With her knowledge of the market from both an adviser and lender perspective, Stacey has the credentials and experience to make a real difference in this exciting new role.”

Stacey Wood, said: “It’s great to be focusing on such an important area of the market and to be part of such a forward thinking business. I am excited by all of the opportunities for our members and lender partners. For those firms who are already active in this area we want to make it simpler, whilst also helping firms who want to move into this sector for the first time.”

Jeremy Duncombe, Director of Intermediary Distribution at Accord Mortgages, said: “New build is a critical area of focus at Accord, and in the wider intermediary market. We’re delighted to see that Sesame Bankhall Group share this vision with the appointment of Stacey, and look forward to working with Stacey and the wider team at PMS and Sesame to drive forward the new build agenda.”
